Dog enrichment games are a great way to interact with your dog and have fun together. These snuffle mats enable your dog to stimulate their mind whilst using their core senses and doing something they love - sniffing and eating! 

Our hand crafted deluxe snuffle mats are densely packed to allow more treats and/or more work for the dog to find them. If you feed your dog dry food (kibble) and they 'bolt it' too quickly, then you can use these mats as a slow-feeder too, making eating a more fun experience that they've had to work for.

These snuffle mats are not just for enthusiastic dogs either - it's a great way to allow dogs to forage and take as much time over the task as they want, so can be calming for them too. Great for dogs to relieve boredom or during recuperation/cage rest after illness or injury.

Our snuffle mats are hand crafted from strips of luxury fleece (black, white, pink and turquoise) and can be machine washed at 30 degrees or handwashed - keeping them clean and slobber-free! The base is made from rubber and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The finished large size are approximately 45cm x 45cm (mat base 30cm x 30cm). They're an ideal size for all breeds.

We've used a base that you can add more mats to, to make an even bigger mat - so if you've got more dogs, then you can simply clip the mats together, and they can all snuffle at the same time.

How to use snuffle mats

If your dog is new to snuffle mats, put in a few treats and let them find them (with your help) and supervise this activity to ensure they don't try to pick up the mat, shake or dig in it (if they do then remove immediately and try again another time). Put the mat away when not in use. Do this a few times and with a bit of practice, they can calmly sniff out the treats using the mat as a sensory reward/feeder.

Care

Pets should be supervised when using the snuffle mat as it's not a toy and not indestructible. Examine regularly for wear and replace if any damage could represent a health hazard. This is not a toy, keep out of reach of children.
